Teri Cota

Teri began drumming on a serious level at the age of 13, although she knew she wanted to be a drummer when she was about seven years old, when she created her first drum set with pots, pans, tupperware, wooden spoons, and a Folger's coffee can as her ""throne"" to call her own! She jammed out with her early influences, Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson and Prince, among others. Teri signed herself up to play in the drum corps her first day of school in 7th grade and continued through high school, six years total. Thats when her mother realized she was serious about drumming and bought her first drum set, a Ludwig Orange Vistalite, for her 13th birthday.

Teri began playing drums professionally at the age of 14. That was 38 years ago and Teri's been playing professionally ever since. The funk was Teris inspiration. Her first real gig was a country gig with The Marcy Brothers signed to Warner Bros. and since then she's played just about every style under the moon and stars since. She sincerely appreciates the traditions and fusions of all music. She enjoys helping others find their rhythm within, hence her love for teaching which shes done for 22+ years.

Teri's played with David Cassidy, Stephen Bruton, Eric Martin, Bo Diddley, Freddy Powers, Anita Sarawak, Jeff Dayton, Bobby Boyd and Extreme Heat, to name a few.
