Tom has been drumming since, more or less forever. The drummers always caught his eye until eventually”or inevitably”he got a set of his own. And that was that. Early on he was into everything”rock, funk, big band”ultimately finding his place in the punk rock community in Adelaide, South Australia. Playing over the last ten years with Paper Arms, Tom has worked hard drumming both in the studio and on the road. Amidst the sweaty chaos of the punk rock world, Tom always tries to channel at least a little Porcaro finesse. Because Porcaro, as we all know, is the man.
Most memorable Next-Level PerformanceThe first time I was fortunate enough to tour Europe—the shows and the people across Germany especially truly humbled me to be doing what I was doing.
What Drives Your Creativity? The drummers in other bands we tour with always inspire me greatly. I love to pick their brains and you tend to push each other's playing night after night.
Why do you choose Vic Firth?I've never found sticks I like better, so why go anywhere else?
