My fascination with drumming grew out of all the great music I was discovering as a kid, coming of age in Los Angeles in the late sixties through the seventies and eighties. I loved the sounds, styles, and other worldliness of all the artists/groups that were suddenly exploding onto the scene. I was most drawn to the drums. I liked the physicality of the players and the primitive power that a drum set could generate. In short, after slugging it out in clubs for years, I finally got my break with Little Caesar, who I continue to play with to this day.

What Drives Your Creativity?
I'm inspired by my fellow bandmates, who constantly challenge me to experiment and to get out of my comfort zone. I love listening to many drummers from a variety of musical styles, backgrounds, and eras. I never get tired of going back to my top three favorite players...Paul Thompson (Roxy Music), Dale "Buffin" Griffin (Mott the Hoople), and Charlie Watts.... -
