Little Caesar

My fascination with drumming grew out of all the great music I was discovering as a kid, coming of age in Los Angeles in the late sixties through the seventies and eighties. I loved the sounds, styles, and other worldliness of all the artists/groups that were suddenly exploding onto the scene. I was most drawn to the drums. I liked the physicality of the players and the primitive power that a drum set could generate. In short, after slugging it out in clubs for years, I finally got my break with Little Caesar, who I continue to play with to this day.

  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

I feel like every gig/recording session is a challenge. I would rather move forward than look back and just try to play my best at every given opportunity.
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

I'm inspired by my fellow bandmates, who constantly challenge me to experiment and to get out of my comfort zone. I love listening to many drummers from a variety of musical styles, backgrounds, and eras. I never get tired of going back to my top three favorite players...Paul Thompson (Roxy Music), Dale "Buffin" Griffin (Mott the Hoople), and Charlie Watts....
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

I choose Vic Firth sticks because I can rely on them to be consistent and durable.
