I got my start at age 9 in elementary school band playing mostly old school showband style in Greenwood, Mississippi. I later discovered DCI in high school and fell in love. I attended Univ. of Southern Mississippi where I studied percussion under Dr. Sherman Hong and Dr. John Wooton. During my time there, I went on to play in the World Champion Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps in the front ensemble from 1991-1993. After my time in drum corps I toured the world professionally with King Konga selling out venues and playing at Woodstock '99. I settled down to teach at Petal High School in Petal, Mississippi where I have been a director, show designer, and mentor since 1999.

Most memorable Next-Level Performance
There are so many memorable performances! I would have to say every rep playing with Star of Indiana 1993 felt like an opportunity of a lifetime. I have spent all of my time since chasing that feeling and inspiring my students to achieve the same. -
