I started out on drums at 10, after about a decade on pots and pans. I played different local bands in my hometown aystese, before moving to Oslo. The last 20 years I've been busy playing with most of the high profiled artists in Norway, as well as bands such as Elephant9, Shining and Red Kite. I've also played with some international acts (recording a tune for Taylor Swift being a highlight at the moment), as well as working as an associate professor in drums at the Arctic university in Tromsoe.

Why do you choose Vic Firth?
My favorite Vic Firth instrument is the classic 5B stick. A considerable part of my life is spent with sticks in my hands, and they are impossible to compromise on. I've tried other brands, but it has always felt like wearing a pair of real uncomfortable shoes. I've used Vic Firth exclusively all my life.
