Toshi Kasuga was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up listening to jazz, latin, soul, hip-hop and R&B. Toshi started his drumming education in a drum & bugle corps and attended school musicals, orchestras and also played in local bands across town at an early age. After moving to Tokyo he recorded and played live with various artists, singers and musicals such as Masahiko Kondo, Haruna, Hanautime, Yosuke Fukuba, Masayuki Tanaka, Sora Izumikawa, Speaker Sgt., Naohito Fujiki, Olivia Ong, Ikusaburo Yamazaki, Matoyakyoku, Thriller Live Japan, etc.
Toshi's career also expands in the field of education through clinics and workshops and continues to pursue his passion as an educator as well as a performer.
