  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Performing as guest principal timpanist of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in 2016 was my first time performing professionally overseas. To perform an all-Tchaikovsky concert in the Tchaikovsky Conservatory was a very special experience.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Wesley Sumpter and Lauren Floyd (from our Lineage Percussion trio) continue to push me and inspire me daily. Sharing the stage with such special human beings and remarkable musicians is a gift.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I've used Vic Firth drum sticks since the first day I picked up a pair of sticks in fourth grade. The classic SD1's are still my recommendation to all beginning students and I find myself using them (alongside the SCS1's) time and time again.
