  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

I wrote “Mr. Bakalau” to Billy Cobham. He recorded it with me for my album. My first international tour was along with Virgil Donati. I recorded my third album featuring Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Virgil Donati and Mike Stern.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

As a composer I need to be inspired, no matter if it’s by sad or happy events. Steve Gadd’s grooves inspire me. The pianists Bill Evans and Marcos Romera, Will Calhoun, Spok Frevo Orchestra, the bass player Nico Assumpção inspire me.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I met Mr. Vic Firth here in Brazil. It was the first time we talked in person. That day we started thinking on my signature drumsticks. It’s an amazing personal story combined to great gear. Quality and love for life.
