My "Signature" Sticks
"I used another line since 1993, because of their characteristic lacquered sticks. They were the only ones I could just grab out of my sticks bag and play. In recent years their production has been inconsistent unstable, fortunately as I needed new stick I came across the Doubleglaze line at Vic Firth. Doubleglaze has that famaliar feel, but what's better, ist that everything about the Vic Firth 5B is BETTER than what I had been using. Everything about the Firth 5Bs design seems custom manufactured for me. The diameter is absolutely perfect. The balance is perfect. The rebound is perfect, and the sound the tips have on my drums and cymbals is. . . . Perfect! It's as if I have my own signature stick in the Vic Firth 5B Doubleglaze. Thank you Vic Firth for these precious sticks. I also use the 5A Doubleglaze a lot, as they're readily available at Guitar Center."
