DETAILS

The long-awaited Colin McNutt "Narwhal" tenor stick is finally here! A companion to the very popular SCM snare stick, this new tenor model combines the full and rich sonic qualities of a mallet with the superior feel of a drumstick. The SCMTS features a large nylon tip for sharp and articulate playing across the drums. An additional rubber cap on the butt end provides a softer tone, ideal for quick timbre changes to maximize expression on the field.

  • Features a pastel blue rubber cap on the butt end, perfect for quick timbre changes and a softer tone out of the drums
  • A large nylon tip provides a beefy sound on the tenors, while a medium taper allows for excellent rebound from drum to drum
  • Crafted from premium USA Hickory

Not bad but there is better

"Last season my drumline used the Paul Rennick sticks but after the Collin McNutts and John Mapes 2 came out we all got a pair to try them out. The sound of the Narwhals is great but I never loved the feel. If you don’t care much about sound I would recommend the Mike McIntosh sticks because they feel great but if your line is more experienced and have good stick control the Collin McNutts are the way to go. Also one more thing to note the blue rubber tips have fallen off both my sticks already, I have had to glue them on with super glue. I have been using them for about a month consistently now."

Unexpected disappointment

"They give an awesome experience for playing, sound amazing and the sound doesn’t disappoint, but was is, is that I haven’t playing with the rubber butts and one already came off just by me dropping the stick"

Yas (4/5)

Great

"There very good tenor sticks, although the blue stops do and will come off eventually. I had to super glue them back on. That’s the only reason there not 5 star worthy."

one stick broke within one day without even using many times

"I already emailed for a repair, but I only used them once then headed to bed, next morning i woke up to have found them and played them, one of the sticks that i was playing on felt like they were broken. It was really weird and I emailed, but for the short time I had them they played amazing."

Fragile

"Initially felt great but nylon tip cracked on the first day of use, super upset because these weren’t cheap 30$ down the hole"

Rubber Ends Broke

"Sticks feel nice, but the rubber ends broke and fell off."

Love!

"Great sticks …the rubber tips don’t stay on and had to be glued, but that’s ok!"
