With a rhythm as expressive as the city of his birth, Alfred Jordan, Jr. is a reflection of New Orleans' vibrant heartbeat, a modern drummer whose early days resonated with the rhythms of gospel music. His artistic journey took a scholarly turn at the Berklee College of Music, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, broadening his rhythmic repertoire and establishing a unique voice within the world of contemporary percussion.
In the current music scene, Alfred is known for his dynamic presence, touring with acts like Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Big Sam’s Funky Nation. His versatility has led to noteworthy collaborations with the likes of jazz luminaries Donald Harrison, Christian Scott, and Nicholas Payton, and he brings the same energy to his work with the likes of Weedie Braimah, George Porter, Jr. Juvenile and Big Freedia.
